Island Farms Victoria style light cream cheese - I just bought some for the first time and it's SO tart!?

Is it always this tart or is something wrong with it? It's no where near the best before date. How can I use this ';tub o tart';? Anyone have any recipes/ideas?Island Farms Victoria style light cream cheese - I just bought some for the first time and it's SO tart!?
Sometimes when it is ';Light'; that means they have to use chemicals rather than natural processes that make it ';fatter';. Those chemicals can produce tartness.





There's nothing wrong with adding sugar to cream cheese to sweeten it up (or splenda, etc.)
