I've found scanners are not very good at correctly recording large areas of background tint, especially cream/off white. What I do for important work is to save the scan so I can correct the colour balance in Paint Shop Pro before printing.Im scanning a cream/off white picture but when i print it off, it comes out like a very dull grey/light blue?
Well a number of resons are probable

1. You did not mention the type of your printer, otherwise I would have more been able to reply. anyhow, just guessing, check for all color componets cartriges are full(cyan, magenta, yellow) becuase most of the printer produce colors by mixing these color components.

2. Try reinstalling the printer driever

3. Try another graphics application (the one you open picture in and send print command)

There may be other reasons as well but those are less probable.
