I have thin hair, dark brown, and dying it red with blackHair developer cream, Does anyone know what type of volume number to use. example volume 10 for light hair???
10 volume will give you one level of lift, 20 volume lifts 2 levels, 30 volume, you guessed it... 3 levels and so on.
If you're just depositing color, you don't even need a permanent formula, you could easily use semi-permanent, which is formulated with between 5 and 8 volume peroxide so it doesn't lift the hair at all.
