What color couch goes with cream carpet / walls to make a room look bigger? Cream, light brown, or chocolate?

I want to make a small living room look bigger, so I'm going with light natural colors. We have mostly light colored wood in the living room with cream carpet and walls. I wanted to get a cream colored couch, because the living room and dining room are the same room and the couch sits between them where a wall would be if previous owners hadn't taken it out. The couch I want doesn't come in cream though, it only comes in light brown/tannish and a dark chocolate brown. I don't know if the light brown will clash with the cream walls/carpet or if the chocolate brown one will look like a huge obstruction in the middle of the room. Which should I get, or should I wait until I find another awesome couch at a good price that comes in cream? What color couch goes with cream carpet / walls to make a room look bigger? I'd go with the chocolate brown couch,as it will make a room seem larger, despite what you have heard...Large furniture in a small room does limit some of the space but it also tricks the eyes into thinking

the room is larger, accommodated the furniture...You need to have contrast in colors in some circumstances to enhance the size of a roomo, otherwise it all blends into a dull palate of colors....Other color considerations for accents....Mauve, Med. Blue,Maroon or burgandy, or hunter/dark green. What color couch goes with cream carpet / walls to make a room look bigger? Cream, light brown, or chocolate?
Wait and find the sofa you want in the color you want -otherwise you'll always feel you compromised and wish you had waited.its too big of a purchase for that.plus cream is so wonderful you can change your wall colors ,your accessories anything and still keep the sofa it matches everything
I would also say to wait until you find one at a good price that comes in cream.

cream colored couch would work well if you want the room to appear larger, you could then add colored cushions like chocolate brown, or add color after wards.

good luck!
I think you should get a new cream colored couch.
i say chocolate
hmm Id go with a soft taupe
I would go with an off white or cream colour, but get rid of the light coloured wood...If your couch does not come in the colour you want, then find a different one in the style and colour you need and want. Do not settle when it comes to a large purchase like this as you will not get the look you are asking for. I would have the accent pieces in either a dark wood (dk brown or black), and have your lamps in glass to keep your room light and airy. Dark accent piecs are needed to ground your room. If you get a cream couch, you can have off white accent chairs.
